Memoir Writing
Maria de Jong
The course has been aimed to encourage participants to find their voice, and their own unique writing style. Writing one’s story or family history is an enjoyable and reflective process, and an outlet for creativity. The course provided intellectual stimulation and an opportunity to improve writing skills. For some adults memoir writing can be a therapeutic and healing experience.
Maria de Jong has helped dozens of New Zealanders to record their stories for posterity.
Painting using Cold Wax Medium
Janet Mazenier
An enjoyable deep collaborative experience with this popular emerging medium. A workshop is suitable for all levels of participants from beginner to advanced.
Using cold wax medium (CWM) is a fun way to paint. A new way of expression by incorporating drawing, mono-printing and texture into translucent layers of visual richness. Unlike encaustic, CWM is non-toxic and needs no heat to use.
